About
Student of sociology. Constantly torn between seeking anonymity and wanting to engage.
Under the pen-name Hawley, Bel works as an Australian writer, artist, and manuscript assessor. She has a Bachelor of Arts from Curtin University and a Diploma of Professional Writing and Editing from NMIT. While primarily known for her short stories and literary fiction, her work has recently grown to include a special interest in contemporary fiction about lost people and things.
Formally a WoMentoring Project mentee and Glenfern Writers House resident, her achievements also include various publications in online and print journals, most notably Westerly, Vine Leaves, and Verandah.
